조지아 콜럼버스 반석장로교회 3대 담임목사로서 청빙을 수락 후 교회 당회원 그리고 1대 원로목사님과 함께했습니다. 2월1일 담임목사 위임식을 시작으로 주님께서 맡겨주신 더 깊고 넓은 섬김의 삶으로 들어갑니다. 17년간의 시카고 생활을 잘 정리하고 새로운 곳에서 정착하는 모든 과정 안에 주님의 큰 손이 함께 하실것을 믿습니다. 함께 기도해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. (After accepting the call to serve as the third Senior Pastor of Rock Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Georgia, I spent meaningful time with the church elders and the founding Pastor Emeritus. Beginning with the installation service on February 1, I am entering a deeper and broader life of service entrusted to me by the Lord. As I bring my 17 years of life and ministry in Chicago to a thoughtful close and settle into a new place, I trust that the Lord’s mighty hand will be with us throughout every step of this journey.  아래쪽 냉동실은 지나치게 차가운 반면 위쪽 냉장실은 전혀 냉기가 돌지 않아서, 순환 팬 모터를 교체하며 직접 냉장고를 수리했습니다. 새 모터를 설치한 후에는 냉장고가 정상적으로 작동하고 있으며, 앞으로 20년은 더 사용할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 또한 모터를 아마존에서 28달러에 구입해 냉장고를 새로 살 필요가 없었던 것이 참 감사했습니다.

(I repaired the refrigerator myself by replacing the circulation fan motor because the freezer at the bottom was extremely cold while the refrigerator section on top wasn’t cooling at all. After installing the new circulation fan motor, everything is now working properly, and it’s expected to last for another 20 years. I’m also grateful that I didn’t have to buy a new refrigerator since the motor cost only $28 on Amazon.)

 Chicago got its first snow of the season today.(시카고에 올해 첫 눈이 내렸습니다.)

아이들과 함께 찍은 사진을 볼 때마다 시간이 얼마나 빠른지 실감하게 됩니다. 아내와 제가 한 것은 그저 하나님 앞에 서서 하루 하루를 살아내는 것밖에 없었는데, 자녀들은 하나님께서 자라게 하셨음을 인정하게 됩니다. 아이들은 자신들의 하나님 아버지를 만나고 있습니다. 평생 그렇게 하나님의 사람으로 살아가길 기도합니다.(Every time I look at photos taken with our children, I’m reminded of how quickly time passes. My wife and I have simply tried to live each day standing before God, and we now recognize that it is God who has caused our children to grow. They are meeting their own Heavenly Father. We pray that they will continue to live as God’s people all their lives.)

 In May 2025, over the course of two weeks, our family celebrated three graduations—my doctorate, my daughter’s bachelor’s, and my wife’s master’s—each on different days and in different places. Although we missed the chance to be together at the ceremonies, in August we finally wore our gowns and, with the help of a friend, captured a precious family photo. (2025년 5월, 2주 동안 제 박사, 딸의 학부, 아내의 대학원 졸업식이 각각 다른 날, 다른 장소에서 있었습니다. 일정 때문에 함께하지 못한 아쉬움이 있었지만, 결국 8월에 온가족이 졸업 가운을 입고 친구의 도움으로 소중한 가족사진을 남길 수 있었습니다.)

 Our eldest daughter has graduated from college. I heard it took 40 minutes just for the graduates to enter the stadium at OSU due to the sheer number of students. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend because I had to lead our Sunday service at church. However, for my wife’s graduation from her School of Education master’s program on Saturday, May 10, all six members of our family will be together. It is all by the grace of God. (첫째 딸이 대학을 졸업했습니다. 졸업식이 있었던 OSU 스타디움에 엄청난 수의 졸업생들이 입장하는데만 40분이 걸렸다고 합니다. 물론 저는 교회에서 주일 예배 인도를 해야해서 함께 하지 못했습니다. 그러나 5월10일 토요일에 있을 아내의 교육 대학원 졸업식에는 저희 가족 6명 완전체가 모입니다. 모든 것이 하나님의 은혜 입니다.)

 After many ups and downs, I have finally received my doctoral degree and graduated. All of this is purely by the grace of God. I am deeply grateful to my wife and children for their patience throughout this long journey, and I also feel sorry for the time they had to wait. Our eldest daughter couldn’t attend the ceremony because her own graduation is just two days later. My wife will also be graduating with her master’s degree on May 10. It is truly by God's grace that three members of our six-person family are graduating in the same month of May. (우여곡절 끝에 박사학위를 받고 졸업을 했습니다. 모든 것이 주님의 은혜입니다. 오랜 동안 기다려준 아내와 아이들에게 미안하고 감사합니다. 첫째 딸 아이는 자신의 졸업식이 이틀 후에 있어서 참석하지 못했습니다. 아내 교육 대학원 졸업식도 5월10일에 있습니다. 저희 가족 6명 중 3명이 5월에 졸업을 하게 되는 것은 전적인 하나님의 은혜입니다.)
